The Stinga
The STINGA is our newest Handplane. Its design is influenced by an old kneeboard shape & an experimental bodyboard shape by Tom Morey with a distinctive stinger tail design. A single concave on the bottom gives lift.
The STINGA is designed to be a great all- rounder, appealing to beginners, intermediate & advanced bodysurfers alike. It has a good amount of volume which allows for early entry into a wave but is very manoeuvrable while still providing great hold as you trim along the wave.
This has been tested in a solid shore-break in the Canaries & performed very well..
The STINGA is shaped & crafted in Cornwall from recycled PU foam & features retro fabric on the base, a resin tint on the deck & finished in Epoxy. Like all our handplanes the strap is adjustable and has a neoprene wrap made from recycled wetsuit material.
‘These boards are a testament to re-use, a commitment to sustainable living and riding the waves responsibly’.
