The Stinga
The STINGA is our newest Handplane. Its design is influenced by an old kneeboard shape & an experimental bodyboard shape by Tom Morey with a distinctive stinger tail design. A single concave on the bottom gives lift.
The STINGA is designed to be a great all- rounder, appealing to beginners, intermediate & advanced bodysurfers alike. It has a good amount of volume which allows for early entry into a wave but is very manoeuvrable while still providing great hold as you trim along the wave.
The STINGA is handmade in Cornwall from recycled PU foam & features a resin tint on the deck, recycled floral fabric on the base & finished in Epoxy. Like all our handplanes the strap is adjustable and has a neoprene wrap made from recycled wetsuit material.
‘These boards are a testament to re-use, a commitment to sustainable living and riding the waves responsibly’.
